About RepSense
RepSense is a digital-native fitness startup focused on helping people train with a stronger feedback loop. The product uses a smartphone camera and on-device AI to count reps, evaluate movement, and guide users with real-time voice cues during workouts.
Company details
Business description
Most people work out without a coach, which means bad form often goes uncorrected for months. RepSense is being built to make workout guidance more accessible by turning a phone into a movement-aware fitness companion that can count reps, track depth, and coach users during the session itself.
The target audience includes individual lifters, coaches, and gyms looking for a more affordable and scalable way to improve workout quality without relying on wearables or constant one-on-one supervision.

Founding team
The company is currently led by a hands-on founding team focused on product execution, technical architecture, and early market validation ahead of a broader launch.

Founder & CEO
Solomon James is a web and mobile full-stack engineer with a focus on turning ideas into working digital products across frontend, backend, and mobile systems. At RepSense, he leads product direction, user experience, and end-to-end execution across the early company build.

Co-Founder & CTO
Paul Nweke is a technical builder focused on backend systems, product architecture, and scalable engineering foundations. At RepSense, he helps shape the technical roadmap and supports how the platform grows into a reliable production-ready fitness technology product.
Business model
RepSense is being built as a mobile software business with a free tier, a Pro subscription for individual users, and a Coach subscription for professionals. Additional revenue paths under consideration include gym partnerships, trainer white-label tools, and corporate wellness programs.
Current public pricing is shown in NGN because RepSense is validating first in the Nigerian market. Pricing can be localized for international markets as the product expands.

Product and technology
RepSense is being built around real-time rep counting, live form feedback, squat depth tracking, and personalized workout support.
The prototype is being developed with React Native for iOS and Android, Google ML Kit pose detection, and on-device inference for workout sessions.
Backend infrastructure includes Node.js and MongoDB to support user accounts, workout history, and product services around the core app experience.
As RepSense onboards beta users, the team plans to use Amazon S3 for product and workout media, AWS Lambda for background processing and automations, Amazon CloudWatch for service observability, and additional AWS services for APIs, notifications, and future ML workflows.
The RepSense website includes product information, team details, LinkedIn links, and legal pages to help users, partners, and potential collaborators understand the company.
